Today was a good day of 20 plus hummingbirds.Â
During the the summer, there were hummers at the 3 feeders. This was the hottest summer on record for our city. There were 97 days of 100F plus, some days 105F to 109F. After a 7 inch rain on Aug. 13th my flowers started blooming.I could only water 2 days a week. Â Small trees, scrubs and plants died. Before August was over, I noticed some different Hummers at the feeders. The Black neck birds were gone. The emerald green birds seemed to be smaller. A few had red feathers on their necks.
