Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/12/2011

Number: 2

Yesterday two (possibly 3) hummers argued over the many feeders all day. One appeared to be smaller, paler and more timid than the other. The other was a plump, iridescent, cream-fronted adult female (we think) who ruled the backyard from early morning until dusk. Happy to report that both were back at the feeders very early this morning. Of course, I'll watch for them when I get home this evening, hoping to snatch yet another viewing of these glorious little warriors. Hummingbird season just seems to end way too soon.
