Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/12/2011

Number: 40

There are males, females, and juvenile males and females cruising around my yard and the neighborhood. They are stopping and checking any blooming plant and feeder that they can find, then they rest in our Oak trees and catch insects before starting the process over again. Of course, there are the territorial disputes, but there is more sharing today. I put out feeders this morning, and when I came home this afternoon, my husband had made new sugar water and filled the feeders again. 5 feeders approximately 1 c. each.
