Gardening in back yard. It flew right by me and headed west over our back fence. I hadn't seen a Monarch in the six years I lived in our house. What's coincidental is I just planted some bareroot native milkweed that day. I already had some Asclepias Curassavica growing for the last three years but never observed butterflies or caterpillars on them.
