Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/11/2011

Number: 1

After a summer of less than a handful of adult monarchs seen passing through our yard just to the west of Indianapolis, we had 3 in one day on Sunday, 9/11. Although our numerous (well over 100 of 5 different species) milkweed plants were healthy all summer, we saw next to no monarch activity. These three were in no hurry to go anywhere, but were spending the day nectaring. Today we saw only one, also nectaring.
