Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/12/2011

Number: 1

I was at the school garden from 11-3:00 (which will eventually be a MWStation)...today 3 Monarchs came in and enjoyed the goldenrod and the New England Aster that were beginning to bloom...tried to catch them and tag, but they were too quick and I was too tired to chase after being in the garden all day...on the way home saw 3 along the 4 lane highway...so after 4 wild ones yesterday in our garden, I think it's safe to say, some of Don and Jim's butterflies are headed this way....I keep hoping to find someone else's tagged butterfly, but no luck yet...Others have reported seeing the most Monarchs the past few days...last brood on their way and/or migrants...
