As I was driving in the countryside, I saw 3 individual Monarchs flitting by. One was fluttering around a patch of goldenrod and wild asters. The other 2 were spotted dancing across the road. The fact that I saw these 3 butterflies in different sections of the roadside in a period of 5 minutes encourages me to think that it wasn't just one butterfly that I saw 3 different times. These are the first Monarchs that I've seen since early August. I was beginning to think that I wouldn't see any this fall.
