AT 6 AM THIS MORNING,We counted 9 males 3 females and 5 juvie Rubythrout humming birds at 9 feeders under front porch.You know its not the 1st year we have had so many this early in fall.I have and raise shrimp plants,RED, YELLOW, YELLOW OR LOLLYPOP AND SHRIMP COCKTAIL.I also have these plants that attracts the hummers in south louisianna,RED TRUMPHET VINES, RED BEE BALM,MORNINGING GLORY AND CARDNIEL VINES BLOOMS RED TUBULAR FLOWERS. ALSO,red BATFACE CUPHEA,HONEYSUCKLE,5 TYPES OF SALVIA,BOTTLEBRUSH BUSH, FIREBUSH MEXICAN HEATHER,RED FIRECRACKER,, ROSE OF SHARON,BLEEDING HEART VINE [HUGE] A COUPLE OTHERS, THAT ARE ALL IN BLOOM AND DRIVING THE HUMMINGBIRDS CRAZY. I Also have 10 feeders out [no red dye]...These plants work (in south louisianna, along with a little fontain bird bath.
