Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/11/2011

Number: 12

Hummers are swarming at feeders. They are not aggressively battling, but actually jumping in and out on the nectar cones in an organized, pecking order type of fashion. There are several species, most notably, ruby-throated and a green-breasted. Seems to be more females than males, even though some could be adolescent hummers. They are feeding all day long, not just at dawn/dusk.
