We planted milkweed seeds in our Journey North tulip bed after the tulips had bloomed. We were excited when some grew over the summer. We checked for eggs and caterpillars in early August, but there were none. Yesterday we were thrilled to see 2 large caterpillars and two small ones on the milkweed. Today we observed the temperature had dropped to 64 degrees, it was breezy and cloudy. We wonder if these monarchs will survive and make it to Mexico.
