Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/11/2011

Number: 1

We had found a monarch caterpillar the first last week of Aug. and raised it until it popped out of it's chrysalis. It was a male monarch when it hatched on Sept. 11th and seemed to be in a hurry to fly away. It flew to a nearby tree for about 15 minutes and then we had to leave. Bon Voyage little butterfly and enjoy the trip to Mexico. My kids kept saying, "I gotta go, I gotta go, I gotta go to Mexico" (from the book "I Gotta Go").
