On the grounds of the Virginia Living Museum in the afternoon I watched 2 monarch butterflies gliding in the area of the Butterfly House. One chased the other, flew in a courtship spiral, then separated and flew to separate beds next to the house. No directional flight.
Monarch butterfly eggs & small monarch caterpillars are still being found on milkweeds in various areas of the museum property.
