It has been a very poor season and it was August before I spotted any chrysalis at all around my patch. and then only 10. The ninth one left yesterday. This chrysalis was found way up near the rafters inside our garage so we have had to leave that door open for the last few days. it emerged on the 13 and stayed on the wall as cold and rainy type weather and left yesterday afternoon. We have still one more chrysalis on the garage siding. As it is now a dark green, we hope it emerges soon. The weather in the UP is turning cold and not good for butterflies.
