Female Ruby Throat hovered over me (two to three feet) while I was picking peppers this afternoon. She then sat on a nearby fence and watched as I finished and then still watched as I continued to pick okra. I mentioned that it might be a good idea to think about heading south soon! She was still sitting on the fence when I left the garden.
