Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/18/2011

Number: 2

Our adult male left sometime last week, but we still have 2 hummingbirds lingering on. They are at the feeders quite often, and due to recent rains, we still have some of their favorite flowers blooming. They really seem to love the agastaches - I guess that's why it is commonly called hummingbird mint. They are also visiting the bee balm, lantana, tall verbena and morning glories. They are building up their strength for the long journey ahead.
