A female hummingbird came to feed on the chrysanthemum blossoms in the garden this morning. We still have a feeder up for them, but she didn't use it. We have had low 30's for three nights and lots of fog over the Stillwater Reservoir. The thunderstorms last week have turned into sunny days in the 50's. Several monarch butterflies are nectaring on the Autumn Joy sedum today too. Here in the central Adirondack Mountains the soft maples are mostly red, yellow poplar leaves are falling, and it really feels like fall!
