Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/17/2011

Number: 200

It was cloudy and they were storms nearby. We were taking our nightly golf cart ride when we drove by our trees down by the creek. We noticed hundreds of Monarch butterflies flying to the trees! There we so many they just looked liked leaves on the trees until we discovered there were hundreds of Monarchs.

Editor's Note: Based on the observer's comment that there are "hundreds" of monarchs, we are estimating the count as at least 200 butterflies.
