During the weekend of September 10 - 11, 2011, at the Greenway Blooming Centre greenhouse and nature centre located near Breslau, Ontario - just off of Hwy. #7 and east of Kitchener, Ontario, we saw a number ruby-throated hummingbirds nectaring on the very large butterfly-shaped butterfly garden there. They preferred to nectar on the abundant buddleia blossoms there. HOWEVER, this past weekend, I only saw one ruby-throated hummingbird that that was today. The nights in the Breslau area have been very cool, and no doubt the hummingbirds are fleeing these cold conditions.
