Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/18/2011

Number: 1

I found one monarch butterfly hanging on for dear life to some grasses that came out of the water. It was very windy on the beach so I gently pick up the butterfly and carried it on my walk in the woods where it was not so windy. The butterfly clung to my finger for the next 25 minutes, it opened it's wings a few times and next thing I knew he was off flying again. It's was truly one of the most wonderful and beautiful things I have ever experienced.
