Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/19/2011

Number: 6

I've had several hummers at my feeders again today. They are extremely territorial. I have three feeders and there's a constant aerial show to see who gets to dine. The birds are quite vocal and chirp quite loudly when they perch.
I also had a large flock of what I think were Lark Sparrows visit my yard this evening. There must have been 30 or 40 birds grazing in lawn. Three of them perched on the hummer's pole and she was not happy! She flew around them chirping. I finally went outside so the sparrows would leave her "dinner table."
