Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/19/2011

Number: 1

this is the first year I've put out a feeder. There was not much action throughout the summer, but then I think I wasn't so consistent with upkeep. However, for the past 2-3 weeks or so, I've had consistent feeders - all Anna's. I thought it was the same one coming back frequently, but then I noticed 2 sitting together at the feeder and realized I could now discern between the two in terms of shape and behaviour. I haven't been able to tell if they were m/f/juvenile. They looked like females to me. Definitely have seen one female. And yesterday I saw a male, not sure if it was a juvenile or whether the feeder is in too shady a spot to see full irridescense.
