I have had 4-5 HB at my feeders for past couple weeks or so. On 9/16/11 had one sitting on deco branches by south door when I woke up. Was in the 'torpor' state til about 11 AM when it started to come out of it and flew off 5 min later. Although I have plenty feeders up, they still seem to chase each other around. Much fun to watch them in mid-air. One even tried to get nectar from my husband's red cooler on his way to the house.
Weather has been cool/could/warm for last couple weeks. Had frost a week ago.
