Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/20/2011

Number: 1

Today I was nearly positive I'd not be seeing my female hummingbird anymore until next year, but, lo and behold, there she was once again this afternoon, sipping the nectar out of my abundant jewelweed blossoms! She also visited the lantana and didn't seem to mind the light sprinkles we were having. Am grateful my garden's so lush due to the recent heavy rains, and that it can help provide for the many beautiful birds and butterflies that are migrating through these next few weeks.
