Just returned from a trip to Rockport, TX, where they have a Hummingbird Festival this time of year. Many of the Rubythroats pass through on their way to cross the Gulf of Mexico. When I got home, we seemed to have a lot more at our feeders. They just weren't ready to leave yet. At least 16+ My husband was filling the feeder three times a day. Expert banders in TX said to multpy the ones we could count by three. It's been very busy. It was fun to see them band, measure and weigh them; I was able to release one, so fun!
