I'm sitting in my usual vantage point to watch my tiny friends and the numbers and activity have greatly diminished this evening. Last night was a flurry of activity. When I arrived home from work, I noticed the nectar in the feeders had gone down considerably over the course of the day. Tonight, the ariel show has all but stopped and each bird can drink without few altercations (except from the hornets and yellow jackets). Today was a beautiful day in East Central Indiana with temperatures in the 70s. The leaves are beginning to change color and I think some of my tiny friends have headed south for the winter. Safe travels my friends. Spring can't arrive soon enough.
