I haven't seen any hummers for the past 3 or 4 days and then one came to the feeder this afternoon. Seems to be a lone female. I was wondering, do they migrate in flocks or alone and why do the males staret migrating weeks before the females? I assume it is because the females might be finishing raising their last batch of chicks. (or peeps, or whatever the babies are called. Guess I should get my bird book out.
