Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/21/2011

Number: 40

The front came through, and along came the Monarchs! Around 1:30 p.m. I counted about 25 Monarchs in 15 minutes. They were flying single, pairs, and groups of 3's. I was pleasantly surprised to find about 40 Monarchs intently nectaring in my garden upon coming home! So pleased that I was able to have food for them. Some moved on, some stayed, and I will probably have about 40 roosting in the trees tonight! Chance of rain tonight, and wind will be from the east tomorrow. Reported to Monarch Watch.
