We released our last monarch on 9/21, the 17th one we raised this summer. She came from an egg found in a field near our house on 8/25, the last egg we were able to find this year. The egg hatched on 8/28, the caterpillar became a chrysalis on 9/9, and the female butterfly emerged on 9/21.
