Our 4-5 Butterfly Bushes were filled all day with a slow and steady turnover of Monarchs, sipping and then lazily heading south, either over the top of the roof, or around the side of the house. My last Monarch caterpillar stopped munching Swamp Milkweed and fell off the branch he was chomping on to have a little rest in his fattened state before crawling off to pupate. I will be looking for this one in another 9-14 days as he/she emerges and hopefully scoots off in a southerly direction!!!
