Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/21/2011

Number: 20

One of my observers said that she was beginning to see some Monarch butterflies flutter around the pecan trees and north kickapoo creek in the northeast corner of town the last few days. A cool front was approaching. This is a large roost site. Hopefully within the next week will begin to see more of our vistors coming. We will see how the grass fires and the extreme draught has affected them this fall.
