I am visiting Madison from Des Moines, IA. The yard here is full of late summer flowers and the little hummer visits phlox, kiss me over the garden gate and the feeder. It buzzed my head when I went out to check a bird that ht the window. I usually have ruby throats at home. This one has a white throat and a white tip on the tail! We are on our way today to visit the cranes at Baraboo!
