Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/23/2011

Number: 3

Three(3) very plump females feeding on flowrers & feeders from early morning until evening. At night they are staying in a very large bush against the house which is protection from all the elements, except the 40 degree nights. We expect them to leave soon since our last sighting in 2010 was 09/27. Numbers are decreasing, this past weekend there were five(5) females, which is pretty much what we had all summer plus the male population. Nature is calling them to their winter homes. They will be missed.
