2 hummingbirds were flying around so fast I could not tell gender, but they were nectaring from several widely spaced plants in the Children's Learning Garden, Virginia Living Museum, about 8 am. Could only watch about a minute or so. They chose Red Salvia, cypress vine [a red Ipomea spp.] and Lantana. Weather was cloudy, hi 70s, very humid; showers & thunderstorms forecast for the rest of the day. Cold front is taking it's time coming in.
