At multiple times during the afternoon, a solo hummingbird - female or juvenile, passed through the garden. The hummingbirds have been bypassing the feeders in favor of the flowers but today it was the opposite. The feeder was preferred. Based on timing and size of the hummingbird, I believe there were either 2 or 3 different hummingbirds passing through my Camden, Maine garden. I also had 1 monarch come through in the afternoon, again going for the mexican sunflowers.
