The first hummer can in to our feeder on the afternoon of Sept. 15th in Katy, TX (just west of Houston). On the 22nd of Sept., there were 12-15 at 2 feeders.
There is a good mix of hummers. Apparently the Texas drought hasn't diminished their numbers.
Also, we haven't had any strong cool fronts yet through southeast Texas.
