This year was different than past years. They were on a feeding frenzy in August in stead of September. Which to me indicates early winter, and they will leave sooner. Which I had around 30 now seems to be around 12 and feeders not going down very fast. Since the summer was so hot and no flowers blooming I used a mixture of half water and half sugar. Fattened them up nicely. Please do not take down the feeders, they do no when to leave on there own. You will have travelers whom need food along the way for this long trip.
