Sorry to be late with this sighting. During the week of Sept 12-16 there were approximately two dozen female and juvenile (probably migrating) Black Chinned hummingbirds around and in an area of 1 mile from my house. There were no males sighted. (the last male in my yard was seen about two weeks before). There are now both Anna's and Costa's (male and female) in my yard. They usually stay all winter.
