Our hay field was recently cut. We have been watching for the milkweed to reappear. We spotted the first milkweed today and a few minutes later spotted the first monarch. A few hours later I went back into the field to look for eggs. I spotted between 15 and 20 eggs but didn't cover the entire field. I supply schools, university professors, librarians, etc. with larvae each season. My husband just build me a very large habitat/cage so I can raise more butterflies. I personally released 201 in the spring.
