Two different sightings on the same afternoon. The first sighting was of a female hummingbird hovering just off our neighbor's deck, then flying off. The second sighting was shortly after that (perhaps same bird?), and was of an iridescent-looking female flying up to a nearby tree. The last sighting at my nearby feeder was 9/21/11. I am in the southwest North Carolina mountains, very close to northern Georgia and eastern Tennessee.
