Today I tagged and released 2 male monarchs that were reared and tagged a wild male monarch I captured in my yard. I also had one male monarch that emerged but expired because I was not around to see him get caught in its webbing and fall to the floor of the butterfly condo before it could expand it's wings. I have two more chrysali to go. Temperature 68F., Wind ENE-10 and sunny. I have tagged 25 monarchs for the season and have no more tages. Last year I tagged 62.
