Have at least 2 or 3 around still and plan to keep feeders up until late October at least since that is when I saw the last of the hummingbirds last year. I am pretty sure the ones I am seeing now are different ones than last week's bunch because these are more shy and won't come near the feeders when I am filling them...the others would come right up and look right in my face. Most seem to have no fear of humans, which is strange when you think about other bird behavior. Is it that they know they are way too fast to be caught? It is a special treat when they get that close and you know it is their choice to trust you.
