We were in timber woods 10 miles north of Fordyce Arkansas. The field had been clear cut of hardwoods. There was white milkweed growing pretty much everywhere. The field had many monarch butterflies. I only counted what I could see on the bushes closest to us. We did not have time to venture farther into the field.
