From September 20 to September 26, I observed 4 monarchs in directional flight and I tagged and released 4 male monarchs although it has rained 6 of the last 8 days with temperatures in the sixties and lows near 50. I have one more chrysalis that has been taking its time to emerge, so far 22 days. This year the monarchs have emerged in 9 to 14 days. Last year they all emerged in 11 days.
