For week ending 9/25, activity around house varied. Generally 1 to 3 hummers seen during evening obsevations Monday through Thursday. Some territorial behavior. Cold front moved through late Thursday night. Friday no hummers seen or heard during afternoon observations. Moderate north wind after front. Saturday and Sunday increased activity, up to 4 hummers seen at one time both days. Considerable territorial behavior and perching by one hummer near feeder both days(female ruby throat?). Loc west Houston, lat 29.75, long 97.61.
