Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/25/2011

Number: 150

We were on a hay ride in rural Oklahoma County outside of Arcadia. We went through a section of woods where one observers said wild grapes vines were growing. In this section of woods we saw in a 100 yard to 200 yard road at least 150 Monarchs. Everyone on the ride were exclaiming about the numbers. I conservatively estimate that there were 150 Monarchs at least. The time of day was about 5 PM. Included below is the weather info at that time from Intellicast.
