I counted 20 monarchs in my yard Sept. 10, 2011, and the number has been dwindling ever since. Right now (9/27/11) it's 59 degrees and has been rainy and windy all day. The monarch, pictured below, was flying around the yard today and then nectared on the white lace clematis.
