Along the Greenway - a flood zone and community park along the New River, I took my class to release 2 Monarchs that we had raised in the classroom. While there, we observed approx. 8 other Monarchs flying in a Southwest direction over the park. The area has a butterfly garden with a large variety of flowers. There were also lots of asters and goldenrods growing wild in the immediate area.
