Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/29/2011

Number: 2

Even with morning temperature of 39º in SW Indiana we have two male hummingbirds at our feeders. Although they are combative with each other in the air they will feed together at the same feeder. They spend most of the day at the feeders, consuming lots of 'hummer juice'! Instead of hovering at the feeders while feeding they sat on the perches as if they are resting for there future trip.
