while in our hot tub, a hummer came in to our only feeder left up. It wasn't our usual Ruby throated (female). It had a lighter red, sort of mottled breast. It hovered briefly and then flew to the pine tree behind our house. I haven't seen any hummers all week unhtil this one. Have to get my bird book out and see if I can identify it. It is only 59 degrees here tonight and supposed to get colder. I sure hope she stays warm enough.
