After not seeing any monarchs for several weeks here in St. Petersburg, FL, I observed 3 yesterday, 9/29/11. I netted them and examined their condition. They were all in good shape, two female and one male, but were also not fresh eclosures. Whether they are migrants or not, I can only speculate. The females were gravid and laying eggs on our milkweeds.
